A good day

Friends walk together on a Lisbon boardwalk, including a wheelchair user. Illustrative photograph.
Friends on a Lisbon boardwalk. Illustrative stock photograph / Kampus Production. Not a ZERO client trip.

Good days. Not long distances.

A view worth stopping for. A table where everyone fits. Enough energy left to enjoy the evening. That is the measure of a successful holiday - not how many places you manage to reach.

Choose

A private day, four nights on the coast or five nights on the island.

Pause

Later starts, seated experiences and breaks that belong in the plan.

Change

An agreed shorter route or quieter alternative when you want one.

Back to contents

Your starting point

Before we choose a place, we listen.

You know what makes travel work for you. Tell us the practical details; a diagnosis is not required to begin.

How you move

You tell us: Your aid, walking distance, standing time and preferred breaks.

We check with providers: Surfaces, gradients, drop-off distances, seating and toilet stops.

How you transfer

You tell us: Whether you transfer to a vehicle seat, and the help you prefer.

We check with providers: The exact vehicle, occupied-chair space, lift or ramp and securement.

How you settle in

You tell us: Bed height, transfer side, shower seat, grab rails and daily routines.

We check with providers: Photos and measurements of the actual room and bathroom, not just a room label.

Your aid is part of your independence. Assistance starts with your instructions and consent.

More than mobility

Comfort is personal.

Special travel needs may be visible or less apparent. The itinerary should make space for both.

Quiet can be a luxury.

SENSORY COMFORT

Quieter visiting times, fewer crowds, lower-noise tables and a calm place to pause.

Clarity helps everyone.

COMMUNICATION

Written plans, larger text, clear descriptions or a preferred communication format.

Familiar routines matter.

FOOD & ENERGY

Allergy arrangements, dietary needs, meal times, shorter outings and planned rest.

Support should be agreed.

PERSONAL ASSISTANCE

Tell us the tasks and hours you need. Guiding is not the same as personal care.

The Algarve

THE ALGARVE

An aerial view of the tidal channels of Ria Formosa.
Tidal channels in Ria Formosa / Arne Müseler. A landscape image, not a confirmed access route.

The art of doing less.

Lagoon light. A short waterfront visit. A long lunch. Return before the day becomes tiring.

Your kind of day

A scenic drive, a selected promenade or a seated tasting. Start with one highlight and let the rest stay open.

Your base

A suitable coastal room, with transport and personal support matched to your brief.

Back to contents

An Algarve day

A day with breathing space.

Sample private half-day / Faro waterfront and lunch. Timing and distances are set around your hotel and mobility brief.

Faro marina and its palm-lined public space.
Faro marina / selected route to be confirmed.

A comfortable arrival

Close drop-off. Time to settle. No rush to join a group.

One good view

A short, selected waterfront route with a place to sit.

A table already chosen

Entrance, table space, dietary requests and toilet needs checked.

Your choice of finish

Return to the hotel, or stay for another coffee if you wish.

A good Plan B

A seated hotel tasting can replace the outing. Boats and assisted beach access are separate requests, never assumed.

The table is the occasion

ALGARVE / SEATED EXPERIENCES

The table is the occasion.

The flavours of the region, brought into one comfortable moment.

A meal worth lingering over.

Ask for local cooking, a hosted tasting or a private celebration. We seek a setting that works with your chair, your seating preference and the company you choose.

What makes it work

Step-free entry where required, table clearance, a suitable toilet, close drop-off and any help reading the menu.

Share allergies and dietary requirements early. The venue must confirm what it can safely accommodate; a quiet table or adapted menu is agreed individually.

Four nights in the Algarve

PRIVATE STAY / FOUR NIGHTS / FIVE DAYS

One base. A gentler coast.

01 Arrive

A matched transfer. Check your room and bathroom. An easy first evening.

02 Marina moments

A selected Vilamoura route, seated breaks, a planned toilet stop and lunch.

03 Faro & lagoon light

A short waterfront visit. Optional beach time only with agreed facilities and assistance.

04 Olhão or stay in

A manageable waterfront outing and local meal, or a private hotel tasting.

05 Leave unhurried

Breakfast and an airport transfer timed around your airline assistance.

Boats and waterfront buildings in Olhão.
Olhão waterfront / Juntas.

Extra rest days can be added.

São Miguel

02 / SÃO MIGUEL, AZORES

Wild views. A softer rhythm.

Let the landscape do the travelling. Crater lakes, tea country and Atlantic towns, explored by a vehicle suited to you and a small number of carefully chosen stops.

Lake days

Big landscapes. Small itineraries.

Green slopes surrounding Lagoa das Furnas.
Lagoa das Furnas / P. Hughes.

No need to turn a view into a hike.

Plan a scenic drive, a suitable stopping point and a seated lunch. Include toilets and rest breaks in the route, not as an afterthought.

Road access does not prove step-free access to a viewing area. Confirm the actual path, gradient and facilities.

West / Sete Cidades

A lake-focused day with one chosen viewpoint or village stop, adjusted to visibility.

East / Furnas

A separate day for the lake landscape and local food, with an indoor alternative.

Tea fields at Gorreana, São Miguel / Navin75.

SÃO MIGUEL / SMALL PLEASURES

The island, one flavour at a time.

Seated experiences with a sense of place.

Tea & stories

A tea-themed stop at Gorreana, with its entrance, visitor areas and toilet checked for you. A hosted tasting can be an alternative to a longer factory visit.

Vila Franca & queijadas

A compact harbour-side visit, local stories and a seated taste of the town’s traditional pastries. Museum access is reviewed separately.

Your setting, your comfort

If a workshop, garden or route is unsuitable, ask for the flavours and stories in an agreed accessible setting. Share dietary and sensory preferences.

Five nights on São Miguel

Room to change the day.

FIVE NIGHTS / SIX DAYS / ONE ISLAND BASE

Arrive & settle

Matched transfer, room orientation and a quiet evening.

Ponta Delgada

A short chosen waterfront route and a seated tasting.

Sete Cidades

A scenic drive, checked stopping point and lunch.

Depart at your pace

A planned transfer; add nights for more rest or another outing.

The plan follows your energy.

Day order is flexible. Boats and thermal bathing need separate checks and are not core inclusions.

Together, on your terms

Good company. Your choices.

A shared moment by the water. Illustrative photograph / Mikhail Nilov.

Travel with your partner, family, friends or chosen support person. Share the experiences you love, and leave space for different interests and energy levels.

Independence is personal

Tell us when you want assistance, when you prefer privacy, and how you want decisions discussed.

Companions are not automatically carers

Help with transfers, washing, dressing or toileting must have an agreed provider, scope and hours. Guiding and driving are different services.

A separate activity is a choice, not a compromise. Keep the main holiday shared and the options genuinely optional.

A room that works

The right room earns its place.

Published access information opens the conversation. The actual room, bathroom and route through the property decide the fit.

The journey behind the holiday

A smooth arrival is part of the stay.

One journey. Three different sets of arrangements.

At the airport

Request MyWay through the airline or travel agent when booking, ideally early and at least 48 hours before departure. Explain the assistance needed to the aircraft seat.

In the vehicle

Match the exact ramp or lift, occupied-chair weight and dimensions, headroom, securement, luggage and companion places. Say whether you transfer to a seat.

At your base

Arrange equipment, delivery and any personal care separately. New Generation Tours advertises Algarve mobility hire; Azores for All publishes adapted transport on São Miguel.

Powered chair or scooter? Confirm battery and carriage requirements with the airline. Airport assistance does not automatically book your ground transfer.
